Here are some of the common activities that have been discussed over time and I find it tobe the root of my success, out of experience.
Presales Activity Before The Demo Practice
- Probe the prospect and understand their requirement.
- Schedule the demo at their convenient time.
- Send a confirmation email with date, time, meeting invite & teleconference number.
- Be prepared for a customizable demo for your prospect’s requirement. Trust me, this will make the prospect feel very comfortable with your product.
- Do a dipstick check with the prospect
What we have told/shown you so far, does that satisfy the requirements ? - Also let the prospect know about other features of the product, this should be done based on the time & prospects interest.
All the above things gives you a confidence & ways to rock in the demo.
Presales Activity After Demo
- Send an email, thanking for there valuable time.
- If any thing is promised during the demo, have to keep it up.
- Send them product documents alone with contact number that can help them, to reach for any support.
Presales Support
- Assist prospect on time or within promised SLA.
- Ensure that there is transparency in pricing & feature offered.
Finally the above things will help you in converting prospects to happy customers.
